Jim was predeceased by a son, Sean Paul Plummer in 2002 and by his father, Warren Plummer. But always the most important thing in Jim’s life was his family. Jim was a Bible Scholar, attending the Southern California Center for Christian Study and enjoyed Biblical Theology and discussing the Bible. He also served on the Plumsted Township Planning Board and was the President of the Country Acres Homeowner’s Association. Jim was very active in his children’s sports, serving as a coach for the Plumsted Township Youth Soccer, the president and coach of the New Egypt Girl’s Softball and an assistant coach for the Allentown Girl’s Soccer. He graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology and was employed as a research scientist for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for 33 years, recently retiring.


Jim served with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. Born in Bridgeton, NJ, he was a resident of New Egypt since 1995 and formerly lived in Westampton. Plummer, age 65, of New Egypt died Monday, February 11 at his residence.
